Cambridge Triathlon

We have been asked to provide safety cover for the swimming leg of The Cambridge Triathlon at Mepal Outdoor Centre on Sunday August 15th.This is a very popular event in the Triathlon calendar and we will need about 10 people to provide cover in case of any problems.You should be confident in manouevring your kayak around with swimmers in the water as you may have to get close to them to try to keep them on course.I would also like someone to act as Leader on the day as I cannot make it this year due to a clash with the European Dragonboat Championship.It is still a very early start for a Sunday,on the water at the start of the first wave of swimmers at 8.00am although you will be finished after a couple of hours. Mepal is around 45 minutes from Cambridge, transport for boats and bodies can usually be arranged.Please get in touch via e-mail or 01223 832128

Places available on Paddlepower Passport Course

There are still places left on the Paddlepower Passport Course starting 6th July. We will accept late bookings for this course - but please do not send booking forms and payment in the post. Please email your completed booking form to courses@cambridgecanoeclub.org.uk. Your payment will be taken at the start of the first session.

IMPORTANT - Renew your membership now!

Many Thanks to all those who have renewed their membership since April 1st but now nearly 2 months on there are still many memberships outstanding,so this is a gentle reminder to all who have not renewed yet,including keyholders and some regular paddlers,please could you get this done soon.Our liability Insurance does not apply to non members,late renewers are not covered either,and priveleges such as keys should be returned or your boat removed from the racking.If you are not renewing,a quick mail is appreciated , you will not receive less gentle reminder no 3 and hopefully you enjoyed paddling with us and may return.
