Building confidence to move onto white water: Refresh your Edging, Turning and Bracing on the Flat
This 3-hour progression session will focus on edging, turning and bracing on flat water for paddlers who are thinking about moving onto white water.
If you are thinking about participating in the Club's white water progression sessions at the Nene or Lee Valley white water courses or  the beginners' white water trips to North Wales, but want to refresh you skills on quiet water first with hot showers and tea close by, this is the session for you!  Besides going over edging, turning and bracing, we will discuss breaking in and out of the flow and ferrying across a current (and do some flat water practice using visualisation techniques).  We can also look at Eskimo rescues and wet exits if the participants are interested.
Pre-requisite: Confident controlling your kayak on flat water; happy to do wet exits with spray deck (please bring a neoprene deck if you have one)

Cost: £5

Date: Saturday 28 April 2018

Time: 10 am - 1 pm

Location The Clubhouse
