The Hare and Hounds is the club's monthly time trial to Granchester and back. The slowest sets off first with the fastest last and everyone aiming to get back at the same time at the top of the hour (usually 11am). First start times usually allow about 50-60 minutes to complete the course. Everyone then receives a handicap depending on the speed that they have clocked for the next race.

Example: If you do the Hare&Hounds in 40 minutes you will start at 10:20am at the next race (assuming it's scheduled for the usual 11am finish time).

Hare&Hounds is not just open to racers, there's nothing to say you can't try it in a plastic boat!

Juniors are of course welcome to give it a go if they want!

Nowadays, the Hare&Hounds takes place every first Saturday of the month. Reminders are usually sent via the racer's mailing list.
