Boat Hire

If you would like to take a club boat for a club trip or race, please reserve a boat using our online booking system.

You will need to be logged in to this website in order to access the booking system. You can log in (or create your account if you don't yet have one) here.

Once logged in, a menu to access the booking system will appear at the top of this page.


 

Please follow these guidelines:

  • Only current club members may hire club equipment.
  • Click on search boats above and either browse the boats to find what you are looking for or use the search function to find boats available on a specific date.  Then make your selection and proceed to the checkout (you won't be charged anything here). I recommend you write something in the notes section so that our quartermaster knows what you are booking the boat for.
  • Once you have completed your booking the boat is provisionally booked, and the quartermaster will be notified, you will also recieve a confirmation email- please check the dates.  The quartermaster has final say with any bookings so if the boat you have chosen is not suitable (eg non- whitewater spec boat for a whitewater trip) he may remove your booking and advise you on a more suitable boat.
  • You can view all the bookings you have made under my reserved items in the booking menu.  This allows you to cancel a booking if, for example, you are unable to make a trip.  Please do only book boats that you intend to use and cancel as early as possible if you find you don't need your booking.
  • Boat hire is no longer charged for as of April 2018, so no need to pay anything on webcollect.
  • Where a boat has been booked for an 'away' trip, it should be collected the evening before the trip (at the earliest) and returned by 6pm on the day following the trip (at the latest).
  • The club member hiring the boat must take full responsibility for the care of the boat and equipment during the period of the hire The club member hiring the boat must undertake to pay for any damage beyond reasonable wear and tear during the period of the hire Club equipment is NOT insured for use away from the clubhouse and should it be vandalised or stolen the club member should inform the police immediately and obtain a crime number.
