These include a family focused trip to the Wye Valley, white water paddling for different levels of experience, trips to Lea Valley White Water Centre and opportunities to gain experience sea kayaking. The pool sessions offer an excellent opportunity to improve and learn new skills in the comfort of a heated pool at a time of year when the River Cam is getting increasingly chilly! The slowest sets off first with the fastest last and everyone aiming to get back at the same time at the top of the hour (usually 11am). First start times usually allow about 50-60 minutes to complete the course. Everyone then receives a handicap depending on the speed that they have clocked for the next race.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eExample: If you do the Hare \u0026 Hounds in 40 minutes you will start at 10:20am at the next race (assuming it\u0027s scheduled for the usual 11am finish time).\u003c/em\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHare \u0026 Hounds is not just open to racers, there\u0027s nothing to say you can\u0027t try it in a plastic boat!\u003cbr\u003eJuniors are of course welcome to give it a go if they want!\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNowadays, the Hare \u0026 Hounds takes place every first Saturday of the month.
